Cinema City Romania will open a new multiplex on Friday at Ploiesti Shopping City. This new cinema will be the biggest outside Bucharest, with a capacity of 2,087 seats and 12 screens, seven of which are equipped with 3D equipment.
Cinema City has been active on the Romanian market since November 2007 when it open its first multiplex at Iulius Mall in Iasi.
The company runs cinemas in Bucharest, Pitesti, Iasi, Timisoara, Arad, Cluj, Targu Mures, Bacau, Baia Mare, Braila and Constanta. Cinema City reported €15.5m in sales last year.
