In the Citigroup presentation we read that the strategy update provides, among others, “seeking to exit from consumer activities in the following 13 Asian and EMEA markets: Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Kora, Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Bahrain, Poland, and Russia.”
Bank Handlowy announced in a separate announcement, in reference to the information provided by Citigroup on April 15, 2021 regarding the planned changes to the retail banking strategy, that these changes also apply to retail banking in Poland.
The bank will formally request Citigroup, as its strategic shareholder, to learn about the details of the planned changes.
