The City of Ostrava is heading for Expo Real (Munich, Oct 7-9) to offer investors its potential for a wide range of purposes: development of the Ostrava Science and Technology Park, industrial zones in Mošnov and Hrabová, brownfield sites (Nová Karolina, Lower Vítkovice Area, Ostrava-Hrušov Development Area), vacant land put up for sale for the purpose of development as well as strategic projects. This year, the two projects presented by the City of Ostrava are the candidates in John Jacob Astor Competition for the most innovative project of the year within the framework of Expo Real: The Gas Container – Multifunctional auditorium GONG as well as Nová Karolina – a former brownfield which has the makings of a new shopping, residential, office and community centre of Ostrava.
