At the upcoming MIPIM (Cannes, March 12-15), Prague is to show and offer investors, first and foremost, the project of the future use of the Prague Fairground (“Výstaviště Praha”) including its dominating feature – the Industrial Palace (“Průmyslový palác”), the left wing of which caught fire in 2008. The complete regeneration of the area is, according to the concept, planned in two phases. The first of them will be a reconstruction of the Industrial Palace and the construction of the related communication hubs. The second phase comprises the construction of a new exhibition pavilion with restaurants and commercial spaces, including a new treatment of Křižík´s Fountain. On completion of both the phases of regeneration, the Fairground will become one of the most important exhibition destinations as well as culture, entertainment, leisure and relaxation centre benefiting the residents of the Czech capital and its visitors alike.
