The City of Prague wants to nail down new headquarters before its current lease at Škodův palác in Prague 1 expires in 2028. The city will pay lawyers CZK 2.4m to help administrators decide whether to purchase or build new headquarters or extend the lease contract with Copa Retail. The Institute for Prague City Planning (IPR) has proposed Na Knížecí near Anděl in Prague 5, Florenc in Prague 8, Elektrické podniky in Prague 7 or Prague Congress Center. Prague Mayor Adriana Krnáčová rejected the idea of buying Škoda palace.
