It seems that Civil Platform (PO) is paying for mistakes its made this year. A recent February poll by SMG KRC incidates the party currently has just 27 percent support, a 6 percent drop since January.
At the same time, the opposition Law and Justice (PiS) party has climbed up t23 percent in the polls in February, up by 1 percent since last month.
Poland’s political newcomer, Palikot’s Movement (Ruch Palikota) came in third with a 17 percent showing. At 10 percent, the Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) was just 2 percent off the pace, having made strong gains since January, when it enjoyed just 8 percent support.
Another poll carried out by TNS OBOP in February also came out badly for PM Tusk’s party as it slipped 9 percent in just one month to just 28 percent. Its main rival the Law and Justice party had 26 percent, up 4 percent since January.
