Coca-Cola Romania has completed a RON 55 million investment, partly financed by state aid, in a PET flake decontamination line at its Ploiesti plant, the second largest of the Coca-Cola HBC group. As a result of this investment, the company has the capacity to produce recycled PET, a first for a Romanian beverage producer.
“The project supports the transition of our entire plastic packaging portfolio to rPET, with much lower carbon emissions,” the company says.
In Romania, as in all the countries where it operates, Coca-Cola owns and operates its own system, including all the links necessary to produce and distribute its products to consumers.
