A number of large Pennsylvania companies will expand their offices into Germany in preparation for the United Kingdom’s exit from European Union after the Brexit vote. Global law firm K&L Gates LLP has recently announced the expansion of its European presence with the opening of a Munich office, which will be the firm’s third office in Germany (along with offices in Berlin and Frankfurt) and its 46th worldwide.
Among other companies is Reed Smith, which opened its Frankfurt office already last year. Germany has always been “incredibly relevant” for financial related companies and it is likely that financial centers in continental Europe will become even more important, according to Edward J. Estrada, Reed Smith’s global head of strategy.
