Companies strategize ways to get employees back in office

As the coronavirus threat lessens, many companies in Poland have begun preparing strategies that will gradually allow employees to start working from the office again. However, before offices reopen, companies need to ensure that risks are minimized and that their teams feel as safe as possible. Therefore, according to JLL, offices should be only 10 to 15 percent occupied during the first phase of returns. “The motivation for employers to return is all the greater because, according to our survey, which focused on analyzing employee feedback regarding home office, many of us have been missing their ergonomic office chairs and diverse workspaces. However, there is no doubt that the current situation will result in a redefinition of the working environment and change employees’ habits and behavior for a long period of time, and maybe even permanently,” said Jakub Zieliński, team leader of workplace advisory at JLL. “Therefore, when preparing the return to the office scenario, companies should not focus on ending the home office work mode as quickly as possible, but look at how to give their people a sense of security and minimize the risk of infection within the office space.”
