HCA Holdings Inc. has broken ground on the Oviedo Medical Center in the north east area of Orlando. Sitting on a 48-acre site located at the intersection of State Road 417 and Red Bug Lake Road, the new facility will feature a three-story, 198,000-square-foot hospital. Also included on the site will be a 12-bed, 11,000-square-foot Oviedo ER. The 64 bed center is expected to create about 200 new jobs with many of the jobs anticipated to be filled by local medical professionals. The contractor for the project is Layton Construction and the architecture firm selected was Gould Turner Group.
