Building permits have been issued for the first towers of Belgrade Waterfront, a mixed-use residential, office and retail scheme. Construction starts at the end of September 2015 and is scheduled to complete in 2019.
The entire scheme covers around 177 ha of land and will offer 700 housing units, 2,200 hotel rooms.
The project consists of a deal between the Serbian government and the real estate developer Eagle Hills. The joint investment is worth €3.5bn, with the Serbia partners set to hold a 32 stake in the project.
