Construction costs in Latvia increased by 0.5 percent m-o-m in May, according to the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB). Labor costs went up 1.7 percent in May, while maintenance and operational costs of machinery and equipment increased by 0.3 percent, the data shows. Costs of building materials were also up 0.2 percent in May. Compared to 2017, costs have risen by 4.1 percent. In the past year, there was a 7.6-percent increase in labor costs and a 3.6-percent increase in maintenance and operational costs of machinery and equipment.
