Construction giants involved in disgraced Social Democrat’s schemes

23 May 2012

Big construction companies were most probably involved in the overpriced public tender for reconstruction of the Buštěhrad castle near Kladno in the Central Bohemian region, in which the social democrat and ex-marshal of the region David Rath, currently in custody, played a key role. The accusation is that the winner of the tender, the contractor Konstruktiva Branko, prepared the bids for the other companies that took part in the tender. This suggests that all parties in the bid (even the losers) were involved in the scam, concludes the economic daily Hospodářské noviny. Subterra came in second in the tender, having bid just a few thousand crowns more than Konstruktiva. BAK and PSG International were also included in the short list.
