3 June 2020

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and President Andrzej Duda visited the construction of a ship canal on the Vistula Spit. The investment is an opportunity not only to develop the region but to ensure economic growth of the entire state. “The world is looking for paths towards economic recovery after the coronavirus pandemic. China, Europe, and the USA rely on investments. The history reveals that crises can be resolved through large investment plans,” said Morawiecki. “Today, the Public Investment Fund is the grand investment plan of Poland.” During the economic slowdown, when companies reduce investment expenditure, the state goes into action. It takes on the role of an investor and encourages economic development. This will be the function of the Public Investment Fund, with a budget of as much as PLN 30bn for the coming years.
