Construction output to leap 4.6% in 2017

16 October 2017

Construction companies are predicting the sector to grow by 4.6 percent in 2017 and by a further 3.8 percent in 2018, according to a new report released by CEEC Research. Based on a survey of leading contractors, it’s expected that revenues will rise by 5 percent. They revealed that contractors are currently running at 95 percent capacity and that a lack of workers has forced them to turn down more than 10 percent (in volume) of the work they are offered. The 4.6 percent increase in output in CEEC’s third quarter report is nearly double what had been predicted in the second quarter report. “The main factor in this growth is the dramatic growth in the volume of public orders for construction,” says Jiří Vacek, director of CEEC Research.
