Consumer prices in Poland increased by 3.4 percent y-o-y in April, according to data published by the Central Statistical Office (GUS). Prices for services went up by 6.5 percent and for goods by 2.3 percent, the data shows. Consumer prices decreased by 0.1 percent m-o-m in April. The price of goods fell by 0.6 percent, while prices for services increased by 1.4 percent. Compared with February, the highest contribution to the total consumer price index in April came from transport prices which fell by 4.8 percent. Price increases were seen in dwellings (0.6 percent), food (0.3 percent) and clothing and footwear (by 1.4 percent), according to GUS.
