Consumer prices up by 3.3% in June

Consumer prices in Poland increased by 3.3 percent y-o-y in June, according to data published by the Central Statistical Office (GUS), with service prices jumping 7.4 percent and goods increasings by 1.8 percent. As related to the previous month, consumer prices increased by 0.6 percent with service prices going up 1.3 percent and goods by 0.3 percent. The highest contribution to the total consumer price index came from transport prices, which were up 3.3 percent m-o-m, as well as recreation and culture prices (up by 2.2 percent), communication prices (+1.7 percent) and dwellings (+0.2 percent). Food prices fell 0.1 percent and clothing and footwear dropped 0.2 percent, according to GUS.
