Continental Barum has added three floors to its existing production hall in an investment that turned the facility into a modern production center for the tire producer. The new space is being filled with machines capable of using new 3D printing technology that will enable Continental to produce complex winter tires. “Each better and more modern tire requires more modern technological construction and materials for the tires but of course better and better forms,” says Libor Láznička, executive director of Continental Barum. The company has invested nearly €28 into new technology since 2015 and will pour another €6m in during 2018.
