Developer Agave Ponce has received its final zoning approval from the city of Coral Gables for the mixed-use development Mediterranean Village at Ponce Circle. Located on 6.7 acres at on Ponce de Leon Blvd the project was designed by RTKL. The plans call for 227 residential units (214 condos and 15 town homes), 180 hotel rooms, 290,000 square feet of office, and roughly the same amount of retail. More than 50 percent of the former Old Spanish Village site will be left as open space, and the project will be developed according to LEED green buildings standards.
“We are impressed with RTKL’s creativity and foresight in designing an urban infill project that will benefit the larger community now and in the future,” said Eddie Avila, president of Key Realty Advisors, which is developing Mediterranean Village for Agave Ponce.
