Cordia’s new Budapest highly energy-efficient project reaches its highest point

11 October 2022

The i6 Residence near Central Europe’s largest urban regeneration development area, the Corvin Promenade in Budapest, has reached its highest point. The apartments in the project developed by Cordia, Hungary’s leading residential developer and member of the Futureal Group are characterized by outstanding energy efficiency, as their energy consumption can be as little as a quarter to a third of that of an average Hungarian home.

The i6 Residence by Cordia is just a few minutes’ walk from the international award-winning Corvin Promenade, which offers a wide range of shopping and entertainment opportunities and leisure facilities. The building will consist of highly energy-efficient apartments that will meet or exceed the near-zero energy requirements. Depending on their location, the homes’ energy ratings will be AA or BB, meaning that the potential energy use of these properties can be as little as a quarter to a third of that of an average FF-rated home. Half of all Hungarian apartments and family houses are rated FF or worse on the standard energy rating scale used in Hungary, and houses built in the 2000s are typically FF-rated.

In order to save energy, the i6 Residence is built with a building structure with excellent thermal insulation performance, without thermal bridges, and apartments which are equipped with a central heat pump technology, and a ceiling heating and cooling system that can be controlled room by room or even remotely from a smartphone, so there is no need for conventional radiators or separate air conditioning systems.

Thanks to the nearby office district and the universities in the area, apartments will be easy to rent out making them an excellent choice for those looking to buy for investment purposes.

In the project, designed by Gábor & Svejkovszky Design and Architecture, the construction of 162 clean, modern, well-allocated homes with private garden access on the ground floor and spacious balconies on the upper floors will be finished by summer of 2024, and there are still available apartments for buyers.
