Prague will not have to pay ČKD Praha DIZ an additional CZK 1.7bn for work on the Blanka Tunnel complex. The company delivered technology for the tunnel and was asking for more money, alleging that costs increased following the project’s multiple construction delays. The arbitration court ruled, however, that the city does not have to make any additional payments to the company. ČKD Praha DIZ, meanwhile, will have to pay Prague’s legal fees, totaling CZK 17m. The court decision cannot be appealed. Prague was represented by Hartmann, Jelínek, Fráňa and partners.
