The coronavirus pandemic could make working from home more commonplace in the future, according to a new survey by Colliers International. Initial insights based on more than 3,000 respondents, involved in a wide spectrum of office-based professions, from more than 25 countries, show that 82 percent would like to work remotely one day a week or more after the COVID-19 crisis is over. Among those who had never worked from home before coronavirus, 71 percent would like to work remotely at least one day a week in the future, while 53 percent believe their productivity has not changed as a result of working from home, and 24 percent believe their productivity has increased. However, 23 percent said their productivity has declined. Productivity has increased most in the financial services, professional services and technology industries. Productivity has decreased most in the legal and education and research sectors, according to Colliers.
