CPI further increases stake in Globalworth to 27.7%

CPI has acquired another 24 million shares in the CEE property company Globalworth, giving it a total of 61.5 million shares in the company. That represents 27.7 percent of all voting rights in Globalworth. The move comes just days after increasing its control to 16.8 percent by acquiring shares Ioannis Papalekas, one of the founders and its current director. At that time, CPI claimed to have no immediate plans to to launch a takeover bid for the company. But this new acquisition means it’s already more than halfway there. CPI revealed that this latest tranche of shares was acquired through a broker.
