CPI Property wants to modernize its SunPlaza mall in Bucharest

CPI Property continues the redevelopment of shopping centers in Romania and announces a modernization of the SunPlaza mall in Bucharest, as well as a relocation of the mix of retailers in VIVO Cluj, where the British giant Primark is preparing to arrive.

The group, which owns about 250,000 sqm of retail space, including the SunPlaza mall in Bucharest, but also shopping centers under the VIVO, Stop SHOP brands in several cities in the country, wants to consolidate its portfolio, and the last years have been marked by a redevelopment and transformation of its centers to attract new retailers as well as shoppers.

“That’s what we’ve done so far and we’re trying to continue, to transform malls into spaces that offer a total experience. We did renovations at malls in Cluj (in 2019) and Baia Mare. At Baia mare we started working during the pandemic and finished after,” said Geanina Ungureanu, Head of Retail CPI Property Romania.
