Cranfield Foundry started construction on a new production plant that will assembly parts for the railway and automotive industries at the Probistip industrial zone in north-eastern Macedonia. The investment amounts to €15m and is expected to create 280 new jobs when it is completed next spring.
“These types of plants represent a basic prerequisite for faster development of the automotive sector, enabling the attraction of a car manufacturer, which is our ultimate goal,” said Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Vladimir Pesevski, who attended the groundbreaking ceremony, along with Prime Minister Emil Dimitriev and Minister for Foreign Investments Bill Pavleski.
