Croatia seeks agreements with tenants of state buildings

8 April 2020

Croatia’s Ministry of State Property has told tenants of its buildings that were damaged in the recent earthquake they have 15 days to decide whether or not to remain. Those who decide to leave will be able to end their leases without penalty. Companies who choose to remain in the buildings but are unable to use the space until repairs are made will not have to pay rent until work is completed. If their business has been impacted by the COVID-19 crisis and they are unable at the moment to pay rent, they will be given the option of deferring payment for three months.
