Croatian Airlines tells government it needs €92m to survive

16 June 2020

Croatia Airlines (CA) will ask for €92.5m in aid from the state to help it survive the drop in turnover due to the coronavirus and to enable the airline to be competitive on the market. CA estimates that its losses at the end of the year could come to around HRK 150m (€19.8m), nearly twice the shortfall from last year which was HRK 79.3m (almost €10.5m). Based on current bookings, CA will complete just 30 scheduled flights by the end of June, and its bookings for all flights now planned are 50 percent off their usual pace.
