Croatian exports increased by 11.2 percent y-o-y to €8.5bn, while imports were up by 6.4 percent to €13.8bn in the first nine months of 2015, according to figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics.
EU countries drove Croatian exports, accounting for 66.2 percent of the total volume. Croatia exported €5.6bn worth of commodities to EU countries, up 16.1 percent y-o-y, while EU imports increased 10.2 percent to €10.7bn. Croatia’s main trading partner was Germany, followed by Italy and Slovenia.
