Until now, there have been just two flights a day between the town of Ostrava and Prague, but this is set to change. As of May, ČSA will not only be doubling the number of flights on certain days of the week, but it will offer some tickets at half the price. Return tickets will be available for just CZK 1,490. Four flights will be made on Mondays and Friday, while three flights will be offered on Wednesdays and one on the other days of the week. In all, 15 flights per week will be conducted. The move will provide increased competition to the Pendolino train, which can’t beat the one hour journey that ČSA’s planes can offer.
