CTP was selected to carry out the project following a tender held in August 2021. The project will be directly linked to the runway of Oradea Airport and is a complex construction work that needs to maintain all aeronautic standards, with special platforms and facilities for aircraft, efficient traffic systems combined with the logistics facilities necessary to make such a project work correctly and efficiently.
The entire project will be built on a plot of 14.4 ha, of which 67,776 sqm will represent buildings area, and over 27,000 sqmwill be intended for green areas. The project includes three independent buildings (warehouses and hangars) and a platform of 22,100 sqm which includes the taxiway, the access and manoeuvres route for the aircrafts, in addition to car access and platforms related to the terminal.
The project is strategically important for the company, being the first CTP project in Oradea and having a public infrastructurecomponent, consisting of the connection between the project and the taxiway. According to the agreed plan the first phase of the project is to begin in the Q4 2021 and to continue throughout 2022. The second and third phases of the project will be carried out in 2023. If everything goes according to plan and all external factors are favourable, including market conditions and airport operation, as well as the part of approvals and authorizations, the entire project should be finished at the end of 2023.
