CZC.cz, a Czech electronics e-shop, is expanding its logistics base. Next to its existing distribution center in Příbram, the company plans to create a new one outside Prague. The Rudná logistics park along the D5 motorway to the west of Prague is a prime candidate. CZC.cz plans to lease 4,000 sqm with an option to expand. The e-shop’s owner, Josef Matějka, told e15 that while the company will move into the new space this summer, it will retain its Příbram operations on 1,000 sqm as well. Alza.cz, another Czech e-shop, is also expanding. It recently announced plans to build a new distribution facility in Senec outside Bratislava. Lenka Šindelářová, head of research at DTZ, says that e-shops, such as Alza.cz, Mall.cz and Amazon were behind more than 25 percent of new leases in the Czech logistics sector last year. The trend is expected to continue in 2015.
