Czech anti-corruption commandos raid Transport Ministry, Sudop and SZDC

The anti-corruption department of the Czech police have been carrying out widespread raids on Tuesday in Prague, with commandos securing computers and evidence in the state-owned Railway Transport company (SZDC), the design company Sudop. The computer of Ministry of Transportation was also raided, with police seizing the computer of the ministry’s director of strategy. The server idnes.cz reports that police have charged six people from three companies involved in the construction of railway infrastructure of manipulating state tenders. Employees at SZDC were not permitted to enter the state organization’s headquaters today. Idnes.cz reports that projects such as the modernization of the railways between Trutnov and Chlumec nad Cidlinou were the focus of the investigations.
