Czech car sales fell 10.4 percent from January to April to 82,537, with five percent of that drop taking place in April alone. Škoda saw its sales drop 7 percent (to 28,408), while Volkswagen endured a 13 percent decline (to 7,519). The third biggest selling brand, Dacia, enjoyed a 7 percent improvement to 5,693 cars sold during the first four months. Trucks did better over the same period, rising 4.7 percent to 3,354 vehicles. Scania led the way with 630 trucks being registered for sale, followed by Mercedes-Benz and MAN. Meanwhile, the sale of motorcycles jumped 22 percent to 6,043.
