Koma Modular Construction, a Czech company based in Vizovice, will build an office project for French Areva. The three-story project, to be built in Beaumont-Hague in Normandy, will cost CZK 30m. It will consist of 10-meter high modules designed to meet special safety criteria since it will be part of a nuclear waste recycling plant. Koma was chosen as general contractor among four short-listed candidates, which included Algeco, Yves Cougnaud and Portakabin. French Areva recently lost its bid to expand the Temelín nuclear plant in South Bohemia.
