The last section of the D47 motorway connecting the Czech Republic and Poland is to be opened in April. The 6 km portion of the road includes 21 bridges and an interchange. Under construction since 2008, the D47 will finally make high capacity traffic between Ostrava and the Polish A1 motorway a reality. All that remains now to finalize motorway connections between Prague and the Polish border is a pair of stretches of road in Moravia.
