Czech economic upturn set to continue

The Czech economy looks set to grow by 2.3 percent in 2014 according to figures released in Prague on Friday. The Czech Statistics Office (CSU). In the final quarter of the year, GDP rose 1.9 percent, which was 0.5 percent faster than in the previous quarter. “Our prognosis is that the revival should continue this year and next year,” Komeční banka’s economist Jan Vejmělek told CTK. “The economy is being supported by the country’s foreign exchange policy and by the fall in the price of oil.”
