Political tension is coming to a head in Prague, as the impact of an alleged bribery scandal continues to widen. One of the junior members of the governing coalition, Top 09, is professing to be shocked by the behavior of some of the members of the junior coalition party Public Affairs, and has demanded a reshuffling of the government. Public Affairs has been making its own demands for changes to the national budget and the abolishment of three government ministries. The senior coalition party ODS has claimed its willing to risk early elections if the matter cannot be worked out and a showdown is looking likely to take place early next week after the Easter break.
