Czech industry turns increasingly to robots

4 February 2019

The number of robots in the Czech industrial rose 50 percent last year to 120 for every 10,000 people. The figure is even higher in Slovakia, according to Pavel Bezucké, who says the process of automation took place earlier there. The trend is being driven by the difficulty in finding actual human laborers. Bezucke was speaking at a robots conference in Brno, which was covered by the Czech News Agency. Its report on the conference included information that simplified robot solutions are now important because there aren’t enough programmers to keep the machines running. Rather than working on their own, there’s a growing trend towards cooperative robots that are able to work together with humans and carrying out the more repetitive tasks.
