Czech market attractive for German businesses

The Czech Republic is one of the most attractive markets for German companies in the CEE region, followed by Slovakia and Poland, according to a poll conducted by the Czech-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The chamber surveyed 140 German companies active on the Czech market, and 92 percent said they will continue investing on the Czech market. They perceive the Czech economy as stable and are optimistic about its future, according to the poll. Two-thirds of the German companies said that the economic situation in the Czech Republic is satisfactory, while 29 think it is good. Meanwhile, 33 percent of businesses surveyed expect the Czech economy will continue to improve in 2015, and 40 percent foresee an increase in export volumes. One-third of the companies plan to hire, while only 6 percent plan to reduce staff.
