Czech pro-nuke policy gains momentum

28 May 2012

The Czech government will be considering a proposal prepared for the Ministry of Industry under which claims the country’s smartest energy policy would see its nuclear component cover 50 percent of its electricity needs by 2030. At the same time, the committee that proposed to cut off subsidies for sustainable energy production investments once green methods are responsible for 15 percent of its electricity. Nuclear power currently makes up roughly one-third of the country’s energy output.
