Czech Railways sign contract with Penta

20 January 2016

Czech Railways has signed a contract to sell development land around the Masaryk railway station in Prague 1 to Penta Investments. The immediate sale of the first 10,000 sqm plot along Na Florenci street at CZK 235m was approved by the supervisory board of Czech Railways last week. František Bureš, member of the Czech Railways board, said the deal unblocks the situation which had been stuck for over a decade. “The operation at the Masaryk station will continue and the sale of redundant land will not affect construction of the future connection to the Prague airport,” he said. Under the deal, Penta will buy 22,000 sqm of land in three steps from Czech Railways. The project is already undergoing an EIA .
