Czech companies are increasingly seeing the potential on the Hungarian market, according to media reports. Over the last three years, the number of registered Czech companies in Hungary has increased by 40 percent, with 944 now operating in the country. Slovak companies are also beginning activies in droves. Over the past three years, the number of Slovak companies operating in Hungary, now around 10,000, has jumped by 50 percent. One of the primary draws have been relatively low tax rates, although the country’s worsening fiscal situation could bring a reversal of the positive situation.
