Great Britain has erased the Czech Republic from its list of safe countries beginning Saturday morning. The change in status means that anyone travelling to London after that time will have to undergo a 14-day quarantine. People who are able to produce a negative Covid-19 test will not be granted an exception. Great Britain only allows countries that have fewer than 20 new cases of Covid-19 per 100,000 residents and the Daily Telegraph reported that the Czech Republic now has 20.1 cases per 100,000. Czech diplomats are fighting the move, claiming that few of the people currently testing positive are getting seriously sick. Romania and Spain are the only countries that are on the Czech list of unsafe countries to which epidemiologists are considering adding Croatia.
