The Anti-Monopoly Office of the Czech Republic handed out CZK 2bn in fines during 2015, ten times the amount in 2014 and a record high for the office. The majority of the fines were levvied on construction companies, with investigators unraveling the largest cartel agreements the office has seen in its 25 year history. Among the contractors snared were Skanska, Strabag and Eurovia. Among the other companies to be fined are companies like Gorenje, according to Vice chairman of the Anti Monopoly Office Hynek Brom.
