Construction on an uncompleted 2.5 km stretch of the D11 motorway connecting Prague to Hradec Králové is finally set to begin on Tuesday. The project has been delayed for years as the Czech state attempted to negotiate deals with landowners for the property needed for the motorway expansion. An agreement was reached four years ago, but then the project was held up again over contractual disagreements with the construction firm. Work is expected to finish in August 2017.
