In July, the company Dáme jídlo will launch a new service, Dáme rozvoz, which will offer customers delivery of goods from stores and e-shops within 30 minutes. He will launch the service with selected partners during July and gradually wants to offer it in 100 municipalities throughout the Czech Republic. Representatives of the company’s management told journalists today. From July, the company Wolt offers delivery of goods from e-shops within 30 minutes, express delivery from shops is also offered by the company DoDo or the company Liftago, which cooperates, for example, with the e-shop Alza.cz.
According to the general director of the company, Filip Fingl, on the Czech market, the service of delivery of goods on the day of the order currently accounts for the minimum number of orders. “If a customer wants goods on a given day, it is quite complicated and expensive for him to receive such a service, so we see room for a new service,” he noted.
The company defines the service as the delivery of goods weighing up to ten kilograms, such as electronics, clothes or books. “We put a tool in the hands of users, thanks to which they can have practically anything at home very quickly,” he added.
The service should work on the principle of cooperation with partner stores, where the customer will be able to choose express transport. Merchants will determine the price for customers themselves, Dáme jídelo will negotiate prices for clients individually.
According to Firgl, the company currently has around 3,800 couriers. “We are trying to focus more and more on single-wheel vehicles, use scooters and especially cyclists in order to improve the sustainability of our transport,” he said. He added that the use of bicycles in cities increases the throughput of couriers through transport and can also affect the speed of delivery of goods.
Dáme jríde says it currently delivers more than 10,000 meals and other items per hour during the daily peak. He adds that he offers his services to 60 percent of the Czech population.
