ROSS Cos. has hired Michael Daugard as vice president of acquisitions. Daugard has more than 17 years of experience in commercial real estate and has closed over $4.5 billion of transactions in his career. Before joining Ross, Daugard worked for Rubenstein Partners and served as director of acquisitions and portfolio management for Washington Real Estate Investment Trust. Daugard graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Maryland at College Park and later served as an adjunct professor for six years, teaching classes in real estate finance and development.
“We have expanded our management portfolio, which was nearly entirely metro D.C.-based, to new markets, including Richmond, Va. Mike will play a key role in helping facilitate our strategic growth initiatives involving acquisitions of communities that fit our investment parameters and produce solid risk-adjusted returns,” said Scott Ross, president of ROSS Development & Investment, an affiliate of ROSS Cos.
