12 June 2014

London and Paris are the most expensive residential markets in Europe, according to recent figures published by Deloitte. Deloitte analyzed 14 residential markets across Europe, Russia and Israel. The average price of an apartment near the center of London is €10,000/sqm. In Paris, the average price is €8,140/sqm. In the Czech Republic, which is the most expensive country in the CEE region, the average price in Prague is €1,186/sqm. Hungary is the cheapest at €917/sqm on average. “Prague’s average flat prices are higher by €750/sqm than those in Warsaw, and they compare to those in Madrid, where the market slowed down considerably in recent years,” said Diana Rádl Roger, a partner at Deloitte. She also said that Prague is twice as expensive as the rest of the Czech residential market.
