The US automobile technology supplier Delphi Automotive has signed an investment agreement worth €15m in a plant located in the technical industrial development zone (TIDZ) Bunardzik near Macedonia’s capital Skopje.
The investment will be carried out in several phases and bring about 500 new jobs.
“Delphi is focused on delivering high quality, industry-leading technologies that help the automakers manage increasingly complex electronics and safety systems. The facility in Macedonia will help further this goal,” said Lucie Toscani, Vice President of Delphi Electronics & Safety operations. The new plant should begining production by the second half of 2016.
