Demand in Warsaw down 35% y-o-y in Q1

22 October 2020

In the first three months of 2020, office demand in Warsaw fell 35 percent y-o-y, according to JLL. Between the first and third quarter of this year, a total of 447,000 sqm of space was leased in Warsaw. The most popular locations included the city center and the Mokotow district, responsible for 71 percent of the total demand. ā€œThe largest transaction in the last three months was a deal for 6,200 sqm. Moreover, seven largest contracts were renewals, sometimes combined with expansion. Currently, tenants often decide to renew the lease for a short period of time and wait for a return to normalcy before making long-term commitments,ā€ said Mateusz Polkowski, head of research and consulting at JLL.
